Tip of the Week
Chances are, your honeymoon will be the most romantic, luxurious and memorable vacation you’ll ever take. Why not document your great time and add the photos to your wedding album—or, better yet, create a honeymoon album? You may not make it back to Fiji, Paris or the Caribbean until your second honeymoon, so it makes sense to capture that joyous time for friends, family and future generations to see.
More and more honeymoon packages (some cruise lines and Disney World packages come to mind) offer at least one honeymoon photo. In Hawaii and many other island destinations, it’s easy enough to hire a photographer to capture great digital shots of the two of you. Many even have underwater camera gear and can get shots of you lovebirds diving or frolicking on the beach, then take the camera back to the studio and have your prints and honeymoon web journal ready by the end of the day!
Couples who receive cash wedding gifts via honeymoon registries often like to add a photo of themselves to each thank-you note, particularly of the two of them enjoying whatever activities their wedding guests helped finance. It’s an easy enough task (talk about a fun task!) to ask someone to snap a shot of the two of you enjoying a night on the town, having cocktails by the pool, or standing in front of your hotel or a famous landmark. It really personalizes those thank-you’s and lets friends and family share in some of the fun you had on your fabulous honeymoon. And for you? Ah, the sweet memories.
