April 9, 2004, Newsletter Issue #4: Weather Your Honeymoon Through Compromise!

Tip of the Week

· Australia: Nice weather (70s) and smaller crowds during their spring (our fall) and their fall (our spring). Recent “Oz” winters temps have been miserably high, along with winter rates.

· Bahamas: Choose April for a spring honeymoon; the weather is a little cooler (70s), but the rates and the crowds will go up if you wait for the peak season in May.

· Caribbean: Unless you’re going on a diving honeymoon on one of the southerly “ABC” islands (Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao), where hurricanes almost never strike, it’s best to avoid hurricane season—June through November—altogether, and August, in particular. If you like the heat (mid to high 80s), you might honeymoon in April, when some rates go down.

· Fiji: Late spring (May and June) brings temps in the mid-80s and some rates go down.

· Florida: Late spring offers slightly lower rates along with a slight chance of rain and lower rates.

· France (Paris): Many Parisians take off during the heat of August, so some services are limited. September weather is pleasant (70s), the locals are rejuvenated from their holidays, and the rates area bit lower.

· Hawaii: Weather tends to be great in April and May (80s) and rates are often lower.

· Italy (Rome): About the same as Paris, but because of high humidity in September, when locals head for the beach, it may be best to wait until October, if you’re looking for reduced rates.

· Mexico: If you like the heat (high 80s-low 90s), you may appreciate the low spring (April and May) rates on both the east and west coasts of Mexico.

· Prague: The Czech Republic doesn’t get terribly warm (high 60s), but spring and fall are mostly sunny and beautiful with few tourists.

· Tahiti: Late spring (May and June) brings temps in the mid-80s and some rates may go down.
